As we concentrate on our lives today, finding ourselves lost in those details, let us remember those who are fighting on a different front. My sister's husband is back in the states for 2 weeks on R & R. For those of you with no military experience these are two weeks break given to military when they are in a stressful location. My dad went to Hawaii on his R&R from Vietnam. My brother-in-law went to Montgomery Alabama (Then he drove to Destin Florida). I just want to remind you that as you fight your battles, someone is fighting a long way from home. As you dodge the darts and jibes of your coworkers or maybe your spouse, someone is fighting with an unseen enemy, immersed in an unknown culture facing uncertainty on every hand. These tour of duties change the lives of servicemen and their families forever. Stop and remember them today. When I see a serviceman at the airport, I like to stop and thank them for their service. I always think of my dad and his devotion to his country and in thanking them, I thank him. Its funny how much it will help you in your daily grind to stop and try to make the life of someone else just a little easier to bear.
